The Atsanik Hotel in Nain has been undergoing major renovations over the past 2 years. The entire hotel including: the lobby, dining room and guest rooms have been extensively renovated and completely refurbished. Our dining room has introduced a new menu and our staff have included both local cuisine with some international flavours.
The Amaguk Hotel in Hopedale has also been refurbished in recent years and our newest project has been adding a glassed dining room that captures the exquisite views of Labrador’s vast seascape, skyscape and landscape.
Our Franks Stores in Makkovik, Hopedale and Nain continue to see improvements in product expansion and equipment improvements.
DJ Group have developed a Staff Training Plan, and staff training is continuous and on-going. All our locations participated in Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador’s (HNL) Clean it Right Campaign. HNL has also delivered Customer Service Training in Hopedale and Nain; several staff have completed their Responsible Server course. Staff in Nain have completed Standard First Aid; Makkovik and Hopedale staff will complete that training in the near future.
